You can change the way light hits your images by using Curves. I'll start out with this picture of Rachel McAdams:

Go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Curves. If it asks you to make a new layer, click OK.

You can play around with the settings by adjusting the curve lines. For the RGB channel, I put 89 as the input and 151 for the output.

Next, you can adjust the Red channel. I put 143 as my input, and 108 as my output.

For the Green channel, I used 123 as input and 105 as the output.

I used 115 for the input and 94 as the output for the Blue channel.

Now Rachel's picture has curves!
